THE RED WINE REGISTRY WITH MYOENO
When the MyOeno scanner is immersed into a glass of red wine we instantly receive its main oenological characteristics such as the level of strength, acidity and tannins via the MyOeno app.
Our goal is to register all South African red wines with MyOeno to assist red wine drinkers to select the perfect wine for them. Once they know their taste profile, they can use the MyOeno app to scan the label of any bottle of red wine that has been registered to find out if it fits their taste profile before they buy or order it. They can also rate the wine, keep a record of their favourites and get information about its level and maturity and ageing potential. So, the goal is to get every bottle of South African red wine registered with MyOeno as soon as possible and to keep it updated.
How to get your red wine registered
Getting every red wine registered is quite a job but we're prepared to take it on! We just need your wine! We need three bottles of each of your red wines. Why three? We'll, we need one to use for the analysis and once it's opened, it needs to be enjoyed and we'll do this by hosting Wine Wednesday tasting events every week around the country where wine lovers will be able to taste, enjoy and most importantly, purchase more of your wines. A portion of the proceeds from the Wine Wednesday events will go to our Wines with Heart project, which supports two amazing initiatives, the Anna Foundation and the Pebbles Project who both work on education based projects in schools in the winelands areas.
Would you like to host a Wine Wednesday tasting event? We'll send you the wine - we'll just need some wine reviews and pictures of the event so if you're a pub, club, venue, hotel or want to host one in your home, drop us an email. |
Please give us a shout and let's make a plan to get all your red wines registered.
